PhogHaven Cane Corso believes strongly in the preservation of many of the traditional Cane Corso traits while simultaneously raising stable, versatile Corsos suitable for the modern lifestyle. Our dogs are a part of our family and as such all our puppies are raised in our home and given the love and attention all puppies need to thrive and grow with stable temperaments. We pride ourselves on the temperament, versatility, and utility of our dogs.  

Cane Corsos are a dominant, working breed and as such need to be placed with experienced families.  As working dogs, Corsos need to have a job to do. There are many such avenues that you can pursue with a Corso including agility, conformation, protection sports, hunting, therapy work, dock-diving, and many, many more!  We strongly encourage finding a suitable outlet for every Corso based on their individual personality and abilities! 

In addition to being our loyal companions and property guardians, we enjoy participating in various AKC sanctioned events. Starting in 2017, we initiated our career in conformation sports including the National Owner Handler Series (NOHS). We completely owner-handled our first girls, Myst and Sunny, to their Championship titles and continue to do so with all of our dogs. In 2019, we started Myst and Grizz off in performance sports and found our true passion. While conformation is important to any program, showing versatility, temperament, and workability through performance sports is equally, if not more important, for this working breed.

Years later, we still prioritize our main focus on family friendly, well-tempered, versatile companions able to perform in any venue asked of them. Myst has shown a natural instinct for Barn Hunt where we continue to compete at higher levels with her. Grizz has a natural aptitude for running and as such is excelling at Coursing, FastCATs, and even Agility. Sunny with her sweeter disposition enjoys the natural bond that arises from Rally and Obedience training. To this day, we continue to work our dogs in Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Agility, Tracking, Coursing, FastCATs, Scent Work, Barn Hunt, Dock Diving, and Trick Dog.
